I’m a sensitive boy that gets roughed up quite easily, and I let the hurt consume my life, and it’s often silly… but my God always hears my cries. He does not always answer the way I begged him to, but his answers are so much greater. And why is he so faithful—why is he so faithful to me? Out of all people, he is faithful to me. He chose me. I will never get it. But the moment after he comes to answer my prayer—that is the best. Oh, oh, oh!, the peace that rushes into my life. And then all of that good stuff comes in—you know when every ounce of who you are testifies that God is the solution, and the presence of angels is unquestionable, and you truly know that the Body of Christ is your family, and you can say “thank you” over and over and over again to the Lord and mean it even more each time? That is my God for you. He’s for us, despite how often our hearts are against him. Seriously, I will never get it.
