Anonymous asked: what is your opinion about speaking in tongues? do you do it?
I actually do not speak in tongues but I do believe it is very possible and I think it is an intimate way to communicate with the Lord… but this gift is abused in the Church and I believe it is forced and not always genuine. There is pressure in many churches to speak in tongues to verify the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that provides an unhealthy environment and brings many to fake the glorious blessing God gave us, which is the gift of tongues.
I have a feeling that I will be speaking in tongues eventually. If it doesn’t happen, I don’t mind… but honestly, I think the Lord will bless me with such in due time.
