Classy Living

I am Francis. I am a Sufjan Stevens enthusiast and I spend too much time reading. I am a disciple of Christ. I desire to be a prophetic voice. I long to equip the saints and be used for the unity of the Bride. And at the end of the day, all I am is His.

Pope Benedict: End the Death Penalty →

(Source: christianradicalism)

Humanity should question itself, once more, about the absurd and always unfair phenomenon of war, on whose stage of death and pain only remains standing the negotiating table that could and should have prevented it.

— Pope John Paul II

Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.

Oh God of Loveliness

To think Thou art my God,—O thought forever blest!
My heart has overflowed with joy within my breast.
My soul so full of bliss, is plunged as in a sea,
Deep in the sweet abyss of holy charity.

This is my dear friend Dominick. He has been a blessing to me for several years and I gladly call him one of my best friends. When I first came to know Jesus, him and his girlfriend were constantly there to support me and fellowship. He once noticed that I was unhappy in homeroom and knew it was serious, so he sat right beside me and prayed right there. With all that I am I know he is my brother. Over the years I have come to know his heart and have been through a lot with this man of God. I wish the world had more men like him.

Dom is also the choir director of a small Hungarian Catholic church in New Jersey. In this video, he briefly plays one of the most beautiful hymns—“I heard the voice of Jesus say”.

I miss him very much. Only a few more days till I hug this guy.

Truro Cathedral Choir - Soul Of My Saviour

Soul of my Savior sanctify my breast,
Body of Christ, be thou my saving guest,
Blood of my Savior, bathe me in thy tide,
wash me with waters gushing from thy side.

Strength and protection may thy passion be,
O blessed Jesus, hear and answer me;
deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me,
so shall I never, never part from thee.

Guard and defend me from the foe malign,
in death’s dread moments make me only thine;
call me and bid me come to thee on high
where I may praise thee with thy saints for ay.
